Khanyisa Real Systems (KRS) was originally called Real Systems and was founded by Steve Mabbutt and Lorraine Steyn in Johannesburg in 1987. Real Systems was renamed KRS in 2000. KRS has been a certified Microsoft Gold Partner since 2007 and is proud to have Silver awards across the competencies of SQL Server, C# and ASP.Net.
The company’s core values are those of honesty, integrity and respect with a firm commitment to innovation, openness and delivery. KRS now has its head office in Cape Town, South Africa, with other offices in Gauteng. We currently have around 50 IT professionals on our staff, from Scrum Masters and Business Analysts to Web, Mobile and Desktop Developers.

One of the founders of KRS, Lorraine is the entrepreneurial driving force behind KRS and our social media business, I’m Bored Kids. Lorraine brings people skills, business and IT experience together for the benefit of our clients.
As one of the original founders of the company, Steve’s passion for innovation and technology never ceases. He has built a dedicated team of agile minds to match the agile software environment in which KRS continues to lead the way.
Organised, focused, energetic and part of the team for over 15 years, Brent is responsible for all projects across the company and his core focus is on Agile adoption and implementation.
KRS is proud to support Children of the Dawn, an initiative which focuses on caring for HIV/AIDS orphans.
At present, Children of the Dawn cares for 852 children aged 5 to 22 in eight rural communities: Mathabatha and Lenyenye located in the Limpopo Province, Bushbuckridge, Mangweni and Ermelo situated in Mpumalanga, Qwaqwa in the Free State Province, Mpumaze in Kwazulu-Natal, and Matatiele in the Eastern Cape. The sponsorship programme is run on the ground by eight dedicated teams. 80% of the sponsored children are orphans or living with a HIV-positive parent.
